While markets for RECs across the country are suffering from depressed prices due to general oversupply, the markets for solar RECs have been buzzing, attracting a surge in investor and developer interest, as SREC prices cling to their price ceilings in various markets. But how long will this last? Already, the Pennsylvania SREC market has slumped and dragged other PJM SREC markets down with it. This presentation will present Bloomberg New Energy Finance's latest research on these markets. We will discuss RPS policy developments; present our supply-demand analysis of solar programs in PJM, WREGIS, and elsewhere; identify strategies employed by utilities in meeting their solar RPS targets; and share our forward price projections for SRECS in key markets such as New Jersey and Massachusetts.
