Biographical Sketch: Dan Woodfin is Director of System Planning for ERCOT, where he is responsible for all transmission planning, generation integration and resource adequacy assessment activities. Dan represents the ERCOT Region on the NERC Planning Committee and the Reliability Assessment Subcommittee. Dan began his career at West Texas Utilities, after earning both his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Masters in Business Administration from Texas A&M University. Prior to joining ERCOT in 2003, Dan was manager of transmission policy at Reliant Energy and was previously manager of resource planning and several other positions at Central and South West Services.
