Biographical Sketch: Pearce Hammond joined the firm in 2004. Pearce previously served as the lead Simmons equity research analyst covering the Coal and Alternative Energy sectors where he helped build the firm's practice in these sectors. In 2010, he transitioned to coverage of the E&P sector as well as helping lead the firm's natural gas macro product. Prior to Simmons, Pearce worked for Duke Energy and Enron Corporation where he served in a variety of roles: power and gas trader, originator, structuring and corporate development. He is a former field artillery officer in the U.S. Army. Pearce graduated with a BS from the United States Military Academy and has a MBA from the Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University where he was a Jones Scholar. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Houston CFA Society.
