Biographical Sketch: Mr. James R. Lamon, Jim serves as Senior Vice President of Engineering, Procurement and Construction at First Solar, Inc. Mr. Lamon served as the Chief Executive Officer of The Nopal Group. Mr. Lamon served as the President of Shaws power group in the Energy and Chemicals division of Shaw Group Inc. since July 19, 2005. He served as President of the Fossil Sector of Power Division at Shaw Group Inc. He had 25 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, ... most recently with Aker Kvaerner, global engineering and construction firm. He oversees all aspects of Shaw's power group including business development and operations management. Mr. Lamon joined Shaw after 15 years with Aker Kvaerner where he served in a variety of management roles. Most recently, Mr. Lamon served as President of Aker Kvaerner's North American Power division where he was a Member of its Executive Management Board and was responsible for all North American operations, including marketing, sales, business development, finance, technology, human resources, engineering, procurement and construction. In this position, Mr. Lamon directed many successful business initiatives that resulted in dramatic improvement in health and safety statistics, sustained growth in the division's revenues, continued professional development of the group's personnel, and enhanced internal and external execution. Mr. Lamon's extensive career also includes business development and operations positions with Clark-Kenith, Inc., as well as several years of experience with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, where he held a broad range of responsibilities including engineering, operations, and government relations. He is an active member of several professional and civic associations. Mr. Lamon holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama.
