Biographical Sketch: Dr. Andrew Swingler’s current role involves guiding technical strategy within Schneider Electric’s Renewable Energies Business. He started his career as an electrician's helper before obtaining a Technologist Diploma from the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology, a Bachelor’s degree from Lakehead University and a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia, all in the field of Electrical Engineering with a focus on renewable energy and power electronics. Andrew’s professional experience ranges across the intelligent electricity grid spectrum from high-performance off-grid PV-hybrid power systems to the integration and optimization of injecting PV energy directly into national grid infrastructures.
