Biographical Sketch:
Nick Chaset is an experienced project manager with more than six years experience in renewable energy and the policy surrounding it. He is currently the director of new market development and government affairs of Q-Cells North America, where he is responsible for leading Q-Cells’ North American strategic marketing efforts, as well as representing Q-Cells with local, state and federal government agencies. Prior to Q-Cells, Nick served as an MBA extern in the trading and origination group of Exelon, developing the strategic roadmap for entry into new renewable energy markets. He’s held similar roles with an emphasis on government relations and outreach at Renewable Funding, Tessera Solar and the Cleantech and Green Business for Obama. Earlier in his career, he served as a regulatory analyst for the California Public Utilities Commission, establishing its solar water heating incentive program, a $50 million research and development initiative. He also served as an energy analyst at Kema Consulting, developing and managing a $500k contract with the California Energy Commission. Nick received his bachelor’s degree in international relations at Tufts University and his MBA from Georgetown University.
