Biographical Sketch: Christopher O'Brien is Head of Market Development, North America for Oerlikon Solar. Oerlikon Solar is a global supplier of advanced manufacturing equipment and manufacturing lines for low-cost thin film solar PV modules. Chris has held senior management positions with leading solar PV companies including Sharp Solar and BP Solar since 1995. Chris is an active member of the Board for the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), and served as Chairman from 2003 to 2008. He is also a member of the Board of the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), Solar Alliance and is an Advisory Board member for the National Center for Photovoltaics (NCPV). Chris has previous career experience in the energy efficiency industry, the independent power industry, and in grass roots energy efficiency development in Africa.
